The Province of Alberta is working in partnership with the Government of Canada to provide employment support services and programs.

Eligibility Requirements:

You may be eligible to participate if you are:

• Currently unemployed or underemployed (20 hours or less/week)
• ‘Job-ready’, meaning you are not in need of extensive employment skills/training development
• Available for those aged 18 and older
• Seeking full-time employment in the construction industry
• Majority of applicants must be EI eligible (active claimant, received EI benefits in the last 5 years, or paid enough premiums in the past 10 years)

Service Highlights:

• Designed to help job-ready Albertans enter a construction career immediately and to obtain full-time employment
• Short-term retraining and workforce adjustment
• Offered at no cost
• Funded by the Province of Alberta in partnership with the Government of Canada.

Length:

• Maximum of 12 weeks
