Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Purpose of the Job: To find full-time employment opportunities for clients using a variety of resources. To develop and maintain employer connections to assist with the placement of clients for employment: support client recruitment and intake.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meeting with clients, including those in job placement and follow-up, to review and amend action plans to ensure appropriate job search steps are taking place.
- Assisting all unemployed clients, including those in job placement and follow-up, with job search strategies until full-time employment is secured; provide employment leads to clients.
- Supporting clients in daily job search, as well as coaching for job interviews, developing career portfolios, writing resumes, setting video resumes and creating online client presence
- Following up with clients at the 30, 60, 90 days after the completion date of their active services to ensure they are successful (placed in employment and training)
- Maintaining continual contact with unemployed follow-up clients to ensure they are working towards goals.
- Liaising with employers to present the program and explain the benefits of taking on a program completer.
- Conducting cold calling, networking and generation of employer contacts for client placement
- Marketing to employers by using client skill sets as a tool.
- Keeping an up-to-date employer data base

Primary Purpose of the Job:
To build and nurture relationships with local employers, service providers, and the clients we serve focusing on connecting employers to ready, willing and able candidates, creating awareness of the HIRED initiative in an immersive community engagement approach, and assisting in the recruitment process to ensure we are meeting the workforce development services requirements as outlined. Job Title: Career Coach – WEST (Women’s Essential Skills Training Program)
Main Purpose of the Job:
- Provide client-centric assessments to determine program eligibility, client needs, barriers to employment and foundational skills level
- Collaborate with the client to develop an individualized action plan to support the client in increasing their transferable (marketable) employment skills, foundational skills, and pre-employment skills
- Conduct holistic-case management and coordinate the delivery of services using a wrap-around model for case management
- Provide 1:1 coaching sessions to increase client engagement and build rapport and trust with individual clients
- Facilitate in-person and virtual 1:1 or small group skills development (foundational Skills for Success) and pre-employment skills sessions
- Provide employability, essential skills, and job search instruction 1:1 or in small group sessions
- Assist in the development of online resources
- Assist clients in accessing the WEST online learning platform
- Coordinate the delivery of participant learning allowances
- Develop, supervise, and support the administration of the assessment and testing functions of the program to identify client barriers, strengths, experience, and resources

- Assist clients with resume/cover letter writing and development; assist with completion of employment applications; computer consultations (related to the job search) and interview skills
- Work with clients in a variety of employment-related workshops (1:1 &/or in a group)

- Continuing support and development of individual client action plans; identify educational and employment requirements and help clients to develop strategies for reaching career goals

Early Learning and Childcare Instructor
Are you passionate about quality childcare? We require instructors for our Certificate and Diploma programs. The programs are instructor-led online and are delivered two evenings per week and alternate Saturdays.
Mandatory requirements are:
- 5 years experience in a childcare setting
- University Degree
- Demonstrated experience teaching via an online environment
- Early Childcare Education certifications
