Job Title: Program Manager for the Foothills Career and Employment Centre Primary Purpose of the Job: To oversee the effective and efficient functioning and implementation of programs/services. To ensure all contract expectations are met. Reports to: Regional Manager Direct Reports:
  • 5.0 FTE Career Coaches
  • 1.0 FTE Job Placement Coach
  • 1.0 FTE Program Coordinator (Experience Counts)
  • 0.8 FTE Facilitator (Experience Counts)
  • 2.0 FTE Information Resource Specialist
  • 1.5 FTE Administrative Assistants
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Report directly to Regional Management.
  • Complete mid-month and month-end statistics and narrative; ensure month-end requirements are accurate and precise
  • Complete all file requirements, satisfying contract expectations, including government/internal databases
  • Recruit team members as needed
  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure the flow of communication
  • Perform monthly file management checks as required/quality assurance
  • Maintain strong communication with the Contract Procurement Specialist
  • Ensure the team is taking a client-centered approach
  • Meet weekly with RM
  • Perform 3-month and annual 360-reviews with all staff
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract new clientele
  • Implement marketing strategies and promote MCG Careers programs and services professionally; assist in the development of various marketing materials
  • Work co-operatively with community groups and agencies, businesses and other organizations involved in providing career planning resources
  • Development of corrective action plans if in an unfavourable position in project management
  • Adhere to all FOIP and safety regulations
  • Ensure clients in programs remain employed for 90 days after placement
  • On occasion, provide coverage or carry a caseload if:
    • There is not enough staff
    • Project/contract is not meeting outcomes
    • There is a need to reduce wait times for clients
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Services related areas; CCDP designation an asset.
  • Experience with Government funded programs as an asset
  • Supervisory or management experience
  • Experience working in a client-based industry
  • Facilitation Skills/Adult Learning Knowledge
  • Communication & problem-solving skills, exceptional negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Interviewing and assessment training
  • Experience in public relations, communications with funding groups, marketing
  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of MS Office Suite and using web-based software

Job Title: Facilitator for the SkillBuild program Primary Purpose of the Job: The Facilitator is responsible to plan, guide and manage a group of individuals who face barriers to employment to achieve specific goals and outcomes by creating and delivering workshops in preparation for employment. Applying adult learning principles and making use of multiple teaching methods, the facilitator will engage groups in positive learning environments, using multiple resources to support learning and promote transition between the program modules. Reports to: Program Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate workshops
  • Develop curriculum and resources to deliver Workplace Essential Skills workshops
  • Ensure materials follow contract requirements 
  • Assist clients in reaching required session outcomes 
  • Ensure sessions use multiple teaching methods to ensure auditory, visual, and kinetic learning occurs 
  • Monitor & record progress 
  • Incorporate adult learning theories 
  • Motivate & encourage clients to act 
  • Support client recruitment efforts, including hosting information sessions
  • Support job placement efforts
  • Attend team meetings 
  • Participate in month-end reporting 
  • Respect cultural diversity and inclusiveness
  • Support clients to remain employed for 90 days after placement
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma in Human Services; B.Ed. or related Humanities field preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience leading adult ed. workshops 
  • Curriculum development 
  • Experience in public speaking & presentations
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles; Techniques commonly used to facilitate learning; Career Development Fundamentals 
  • Experience in virtual and in-person instruction is an asset

Primary Purpose of the Job:  To connect with and secure Employers in line with monthly goals to ensure all clients have access to full and part-time Work Exposure (WE) opportunities. Provide support to employers through the development of job descriptions, negotiation of WE contracts, wage subsidies, development of Work Plans and Job Maintenance documents, and connect employers with resources such as Disability Related Employment Supports, Canada-Alberta Job Grant, Alberta Jobs Now, etc. Reports to: Program Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Recruit employers & market clients for Work Exposure and employment
  • Meet with interested employers onsite, answer queries; assess health & safety; obtain required documents, including signed Work Exposure Agreement (Partnership)
  • Build and maintain a pool of employers for Work Exposure Opportunities
  • Develop and implement a job development recruitment plan
  • Negotiate & develop Work Exposure and Employment contracts
  • Support Employers ensuring their needs are being met through the program
  • Complete Monitoring Forms, conduct site visits, and provide ongoing satisfaction interviews
  • Provide immediate and appropriate interventions when the employer/client expresses concerns
  • Evaluate & document worksite conditions; conduct pre-placement assessments and ensure employer eligibility
  • Connect employers to resources and other services available (grants, MCG’s PEP program, workshops on inclusion and diversity in the workplace, human resources support, free job postings, etc.)
  • Facilitate workplace conflict resolution between Clients & employers during training & the follow up period
  • Provide 1-1 coaching with employers to facilitate client job retention
  • Provide monthly reporting and performance metrics
  • Develop promotional materials (print, online)
  • Provide exceptional customer services
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Ensure clients remain employed for 90 days after placement

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience
  • Post-secondary education in Humanities or Marketing/Sales; a combination of relevant experience
  • Two years of business-to-business sales or job placement experience
  • Experience placing clients in employment and work experience, on-the-job training, or internships
  • Exceptional ability to engage, recruit and provide top-notch customer service to businesses
  • Ability to promote workforce development programs to employers focusing on both the financial and social benefits of participating
  • Experience handling sensitive information and handling personnel matters with discretion
  • Ability to be self-driven, ensuring enough employer participants
  • Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to establish rapport & build labour market contracts
  • Creative and dynamic marketing skills, including cold calling, B2B sales, social media, print media
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Social Media using multiple platforms
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of employer hiring and employee retention needs
  • Working knowledge of Mobius as an asset

Early Learning and Childcare Instructor Are you passionate about quality childcare? We require instructors for our Certificate and Diploma programs. The programs are instructor-led online and are delivered two evenings per week and alternate Saturdays. Mandatory requirements are:
  • 5 years experience in a childcare setting
  • University Degree
  • Demonstrated experience teaching via an online environment
  • Early Childcare Education certifications
