Innovative services and supports to help you with career, employment and post-secondary options.
The Career and Employment Centre offers a wide range of resources and services to assist any Albertan seeking support and advice with their career planning or job search. Skilled staff are available to provide coaching on resumes and cover letter writing, interview preparation, online job search and more. Clients have access to a career resource library, job postings by employers from local and surrounding areas, and access to computers, printer, scanner, fax, photocopier, and telephone. The centre also offers job fairs, workshops and an Annual Career and Employment Expo. Residents of Claresholm, Turner Valley-Black Diamond, and Nanton are offered services through the Itinerant Coach program.

Priority Employer Program
Helping Businesses Put Ability First
The Priority Employer Program (PEP) was developed to support by offering a range of resources, training and guidance to help with the recruitment, hiring and retaining and advancement of persons with disabilities.
PEP empowers employers through the provision of:
- Online or in-person education and training related to advancing inclusion for employers and staff
- Support and guidance for human resources activities
- Access to employer focused tools, resources and publications
- Supported connections to disability service providers
- Provision of accessibility and ergonomic assessments for worksites
- Assistance with applications for employer grants
- Upskills training and micro-credentialing for current employees with disabilities and supervisors of employees with disabilities
Women’s Essential Skills Training
WEST is a Women’s Employment Readiness program that uses a learner-centred approach that engages, educates, enriches, and empowers women for inclusion in the labour market and society.
MCG’s WEST program objective is to provide foundational skills training that includes Skills for Success, Employment Skills (the skills required to find, apply and secure employment) and Employability Skills (interpersonal skills) training, along with wrap-around service delivery that connects participants with the resources needed to support them reach their full potential.
