Growth 4 U

Employment Supports for Individuals with Mental Health Concerns

The Growth 4 U program is specifically designed for individuals coping with mental illness who require assistance to obtain and maintain employment. Based on the Individual Placement and Support model, staff work with clients to create a Return to Work Action Plan which outlines the steps needed to successfully enter or re-enter the workforce.

Hope Inspired Resource and Employment Development (HIRED)

A client-centric work preparation program for unemployed individuals in Red Deer and area that have barriers that limit their ability to succeed in finding, obtaining, and keeping employment.

 

MCG’s HIRED program serves clients by providing support to address challenges and gain life, work and job search skills, knowledge, and attitudes. The focus is on helping the client reach their full potential and employment goals.  Clients are connected to community service providers to receive the support needed to address their challenges. Local employers currently hiring provide the opportunity for on-the-job training and employment.  Sustainable employment is the objective of HIRED.

Priority Employer Program

Helping Businesses Put Ability First

 

The Priority Employer Program (PEP) was developed to support by offering a range of resources, training and guidance to help with the recruitment, hiring and retaining and advancement of persons with disabilities.

PEP empowers employers through the provision of:

  • Online or in-person education and training related to advancing inclusion for employers and staff
  • Support and guidance for human resources activities
  • Access to employer focused tools, resources and publications
  • Supported connections to disability service providers
  • Provision of accessibility and ergonomic assessments for worksites
  • Assistance with applications for employer grants
  • Upskills training and micro-credentialing for current employees with disabilities and supervisors of employees with disabilities
