The High River Career and Employment Centre offers a wide range of resources and services to assist any Albertan seeking support and advice with their career planning or job search. Skilled staff are available to provide coaching on resumes and cover letter writing, interview preparation, online job search and more. Clients have access to a career resource library, job postings by employers from local and surrounding areas, and access to computers, printer, scanner, fax, photocopier, and telephone. The centre also offers job fairs, workshops and an Annual Career and Employment Expo. Residents of Vulcan may access services via our Itinerant Coach.
Experience Counts – Targeted Initiative for Mature Workers
Innovative job search strategies, computer skills training, and personal development – that can help you achieve meaningful and rewarding employment
MCG’s Experience Counts program provides Mature Workers (45 to 68) with the opportunity to update current skills and obtain new knowledge while receiving customized support with the goal of attaining and maintaining employment. This program includes six weeks of in-class professional and personal development training and one-on-one support from a Job Coach during the client’s job search.
