Job Title: Job Coach/ Business Developer - Rapid Employment Services Primary Purpose of the Job: To find employment opportunities for the clients using a variety of resources.  To ensure success, maintain contact with the clients for 90 days after their completion date. Reports to: Program Manager Direct Reports: Not Applicable. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Recruit new clients using TRF, community referrals, and other recruitment channels
  • Meeting one-on-one with clients to establish career goals  
  • Marketing the clients to employers by using their most vital skills as a tool
  • Assist clients with resume/cover letter writing
  • Research job requirements and explore training options with clients
  • Motivate the clients to seek employment and strive for success 
  • Cold calling new employers to develop a robust database of contacts
  • Printing jobs off job boards that are advertised on the job board
  • Keeping good contact with existing employers/creating new contacts
  • Following up with clients for 30, 60, and 90 days after the completion date to ensure that they are successful
  • Liaise with employers to develop and maintain a strong network
  • Establishing strong contacts in various industries
  • Attend team meetings and other meetings as needed
  • Assist in the organization and marketing of job fairs and other program activities
  • Participate in community committees and promote the program

Job Title: Career Coach/Facilitator- Experience Counts Main Purpose of the Job: To provide career coaching to clients 1:1 and in groups with a focus on career decision-making, exploration of educational options, conducting career/personality assessments, and investigations of occupational information Reports to: Program Manager Direct Reports: Not Applicable Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate workshops on various topics in group settings and individual basis.
  • Administer career assessments, assist clients with identifying educational requirements and developing training plans.
  • Counsel clients on developing effective job search strategies, including writing resumes and developing interview skills.
  • Assist them in overcoming barriers to employment and facilitate informed choices.
  • Support clients in developing digital literacy and technology skills and how to engage in online platforms (i.e., experiencecounts.ca website)
  • Provide job search assistance; facilitate weekly Career Cafés and maintain distribution list for job postings.
  • Meet with employers to discuss needs and provide information on available supports and workshop delivery.
  • Service Plans, engage clients and build relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of the local labour market for the area and resources available to clients and refer clients to appropriate services to address their needs.
  • Work cooperatively with community groups and agencies, businesses, and other organizations involved in providing career planning resources.
  • Write reports and research information relevant to clients and the labour market.
  • Attend meetings and act as a company representative where required.
  • Ensure files are maintained and contact notes and service plans are updated.
  • Assist with conducting 90-day follow-ups with clients.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education and experience working in a client-based industry; Life Skills training an asset.
  • Experience and understanding of the challenges of this specific client group.

  • Computer training is an asset.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Information Resource Specialist- CCEC Main Purpose of the Job: To perform the administrative duties and operational requirements for the CCEC. To support clients in the resource centre with employment and education-related research, document completion, and technology challenges. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review client applications and enter information with accuracy into internal Databases
  • Compile information and statistical data with accuracy
  • Complete all month-end reports as per policy and procedures including ensuring the accuracy of data entry, importing statistical information into report templates, monthly tracking, and final synopsis report.
  • Follow outlined procedures and keep accurate, current records as required
  • Provide coverage to other administrative staff and IRS
  • Maintain up-to-date files and store files as per company processes

Primary Purpose of the Job: To perform the Rapid Employment Services (RES's)  administrative and client intake duties, reporting to the Program Manager. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To attend the front desk for client/reception duties
  • Determine eligibility of people applying for the service, obtain the appropriate information, fill out paperwork, check the MOBIUS database
  • Review the Client Application process with new clients
  • Answer the phone in a pleasant timely manner - explain service; book appointments; transfer calls where required; take messages for clients/staff; etc.
  • Type and distribute minutes from Staff Meetings
  • Answer client questions regarding other MCG programs/services
  • Knowledge and application of fax, photocopier, etc.
  • Provide information on other appropriate services/resources available to clients throughout the city
