Accelerating Careers Through Individualized Opportunities and Networking (ACTION)

ACTION assists participants through the following:

• Skill gap analysis
• Job search skills & assistance
• Writing customized resumes & cover letters
• Completion of job applications
• Direct job matching
• Opportunities to upskill or re-skill through employer-led training to offset a skill gap
• Access to workplace supports for incidental costs to cover work gear, certifications and more

The Province of Alberta is working in partnership with the Government of Canada to provide employment support services and programs. 

Eligibility Requirements:

You may be eligible to participate if you are:

•  Currently unemployed or underemployed
• Ready, willing and able to go to work
• Seeking full-time employment
• Have employment skills that are easily transferable to different industries, but may need specific employer training
• EI eligible

Service Highlights:

• Designed to help job-ready Albertans enter the workforce immediately and to obtain full-time employment
• An on-the-job training component
• Offered at no cost
• Funded by the Province of Alberta in partnership with the Government of Canada.

Length:

• Maximum of 26 weeks
