Title: Service Technician
Location: Office location – #1, 2315 – 30th Avenue NE, Calgary and surrounding areas.

Job Overview
• Full-time Service Technician position based in Calgary
• Perform insulation, drywall, and texture repair work
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism
• Track and report work progress
• Keep job sites and vehicles clean and organized
• Collaborate with internal teams, builders, and trades
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet company standards

Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform drywall, taping, and texture repairs, and complete assigned scope of work as required
• Maintain site cleanliness throughout the duration of work
• Represent Empire Envelope professionally when interacting with builders, homeowners, and trades
• Uphold and protect company quality standards, ensuring all work meets or exceeds expectations
• Liaise with team members and divisions as needed
• Track hours and completed work for each job; update service schedules for tracking and billing
• Document work through photos, notes, and detailed descriptions
• Provide feedback to direct manager on work quality, trades, damage, site conditions, and builder-related issues
• Conduct weekly vehicle inspections and maintain overall vehicle cleanliness and upkeep
• Complete hazard assessments, wear proper PPE, and report any safety concerns to management or the safety department

Job Requirements:
• Strong communicator; clearly expresses ideas verbally and in writing with a persuasive and influential approach
• Creative thinker; identifies new ideas, techniques, and opportunities to improve performance and productivity
• Effective leader; develops team members’ skills through coaching and guidance
• Creative problem solver; thinks outside the box and approaches challenges without fear of failure
• Minimum 1 year of experience in drywall, taping, and/or general construction
• Physically capable of kneeling, crouching, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects
• Comfortable using relevant tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and awareness of the work environment
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract and reliable transportation

Working Conditions

You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
