MCG Careers has provided services to unemployed Albertans since 1989. We utilize current career development techniques to assist individuals with successful employment preparation, job placement, training on the job, workshops, and skill training programs.

MCG Careers is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Red Deer team as Workshop Facilitators.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor of Education or related degree, diploma, or certificate
  • Minimum of two years of experience facilitating adult learning
  • Demonstrated awareness of adult learning theories
  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Experience in public speaking & presentations
  • Knowledge of Principles of Adult Learning; Techniques commonly used to facilitate learning; Career Development Fundamentals
  • Experience in virtual instruction is an asset
  • Certification in IM&M facilitation and experience with Compass is an asset

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and develop curriculum, tools, and resources that align with contract requirements and effectively address job readiness, career exploration, and employment maintenance
  • Ensure materials and delivery methods remain compliant with contract guidelines, ensuring consistency, quality, and measurable outcomes
  • Assist Job Seekers to reach required session outcomes
  • Ensure sessions use multiple teaching methods to ensure auditory, visual, and kinetic learning occurs
  • Monitor progress
  • Incorporate adult learning theories
  • Motivate & encourage Job Seekers to act
  • Help create a positive, energetic, client-centered environment
