MCG Careers is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our E6 Initiative team at the Calgary Downtown office as an Employer Advisor.

About the E6 Initiative:

The E6 Initiative (Engage-Encourage-Educate-Empower-Employ-Enrich) is an innovative service that empowers individuals with mental health disabilities to engage in the labour market. Participants work closely with a dedicated job coach to develop mental health management strategies, build essential employment skills, and receive personalized job search coaching.

The E6 Initiative also supports employers in inclusive hiring practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in job development/job placement
  • Career Development Certificate or related post-secondary education
  • Social media, events planning, and Business to Business sales experience
  • Knowledge of the Calgary labour market
  • Labour market connections are an asset
  • Knowledge of workplace integration strategies, Alberta labour/disability laws, and Duty to Accommodate legislation
  • Strong commitment to reducing mental health stigmas and creating inclusive labour markets
  • Knowledge of best practices in Recruitment and Hiring
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
