MCG Careers has provided services to unemployed Albertans since 1989. We utilize current career development techniques to assist individuals with successful employment preparation, job placement, training on the job, workshops, and skill training programs.
MCG Careers is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Red Deer team as Career and Employment Advisors

What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience providing career and employment services
- Post-secondary education in a Human Services-related area
- CCDP Certification is an asset
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices
- Case management experience
- Understanding of the local labour market
- Social media, events planning, and Business to Business sales experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Certification in IM&M facilitation and experience with Compass is an asset
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct Job Seeker intakes, managing the assessment process and developing Individual Action Plans
- Provide ongoing 1:1 career and employment counselling, including job search strategies and self-marketing
- Participate in outreach, Career Cafés, workshops, and event planning
- Collaborate with the team to identify labour market trends and support program growth
- Help create a positive, energetic, client-centered environment
