Job Locations: The position requires travel to various locations in the Edmonton region (AB). The employer provides transportation when the job site is outside of the City of Edmonton.
Wage: $41.58- $46/ hour (based on experience; salary increases as per Company policy); performance bonus per company policy.
Employment terms and conditions: Permanent, Full-Time, 40 to 60 hours/week (weather-dependent), Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime

Job Requirements

Language: English
Experience: 3 years of related experience
Work Setting: Underground Infrastructure construction which includes storm, sanitary, and water mains within municipal, commercial, or residential land development projects.
Ability to Supervise: 5–10 people
Construction Specialization: Municipal, commercial or residential deep underground utilities (storm, sanitary, and water systems).
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Underground, Confined spaces, Dangerous, Dusty
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads (Up to 23 kg (50 lbs))
Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player, Dependability, Judgement
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements

Main Duties

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of underground crews, including operators and pipelayers, working on municipal, commercial or residential water, sanitary, and storm systems.
Train and mentor employees.
Inspect trench depth, grade, and alignment to verify accuracy.
Monitor work progress to maintain productivity, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
Know, understand, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Know, understand, and follow all company rules, policies, and procedures.
May perform the duties of those supervised.
