Your Mission:
As our Loader Operator, you’ll load haulage vehicles, tunnels, storage bunkers, and processing equipment with loose waste. You’ll operate mobile equipment, maintain process equipment, and perform safety checks, ensuring a smooth and safe operational environment.
Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:
- Create a safe work environment for our team, subcontractors, customers, and visitors by enforcing PPE, FRS, and RPE requirements.
- Operate all mobile equipment to maintain process equipment and facilities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Load haulage vehicles, tunnels, storage bunkers, and processing equipment with loose waste, playing a pivotal role in our waste management team.
- Perform cleaning and pre-use safety checks on plant items, promptly reporting any issues to maintain safety.
- Be a proactive safety ambassador by reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses according to company procedures.
- Demonstrate commitment to health and safety by comprehending and implementing company requirements.
- Engage in our team culture by attending daily and weekly operations and safety meetings and contributing insights and ideas.
This job is for you if you:
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the heavy equipment operations field.
- Have mechanical aptitude – it’s a strong fit, allowing you to complete daily inspections confidently.
- Are resourceful and capable of working alone and collaboratively within a team.
- Hold a valid Driver’s License – it is a requirement.
- About the salary range: A reasonable estimate of the hourly pay range is $31.00-$33.00 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
