MCG Careers has provided services to unemployed Albertans since 1989. We utilize current career development techniques to assist individuals with successful employment preparation, job placement, training on the job, workshops, and skill training programs.

MCG Careers is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Downtown Calgary team as a Program Manager for the E6 Initiative Program.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience providing career and employment services
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with persons with disabilities (PWD), preferably mental health-related disabilities
  • Minimum 2 years’ leadership/supervisory experience
  • Career Development Certificate or related post-secondary education
  • Experience working with individuals with barriers to entering/keeping employment
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices
  • Experience with government-funded program management
  • Case management experience
  • Understanding of the local labour market
  • Social media, events planning, and Business to Business sales experience
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee daily program operations
  • Lead and develop the team
  • Complete month-end reporting with accuracy and precision
  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure the flow of communication
  • Maintain strong communication with senior leaders
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and safety regulations

The E6 Initiative (Engage-Encourage-Educate-Empower-Employ-Enrich) is an innovative service that empowers individuals with mental health disabilities to engage in the labour market. Participants work closely with a dedicated job coach to develop mental health management strategies, build essential employment skills, and receive personalized job search coaching.

The E6 Initiative also supports employers in inclusive hiring practices.
