Job Description / Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain video, audio, lighting, and recording equipment during studio and on-location shoots.
  • Record, synchronize, and balance picture and sound for live-action and studio productions.
  • Edit video footage using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and integrate audio, graphics, and visual effects.
  • Mix, equalize, and master recorded sound to ensure broadcast-quality output.
  • Collaborate with producers, directors, and marketing staff to plan production schedules and technical requirements.
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling cameras, tripods, lighting, and other production gear.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on video and audio equipment.
  • Manage storage, backup, and cataloguing of digital assets and final project files.
  • Support delivery of finished media for broadcast, streaming platforms, and social-media distribution.
  • Keep informed about new recording technologies and recommend workflow improvements.

Employment Requirements

  • Nice to have: completion of a college diploma or university degree in film production, broadcasting, audio engineering, digital media, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in video recording, editing, or post-production in a studio or broadcast environment.
  • Proficiency with professional video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite – Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition; or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of camera systems (DSLR and cinema), lighting principles, microphones, and field recording techniques.
  • Familiarity with codecs, compression formats, and broadcast standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

  • Fast-paced creative environment; tight deadlines.
  • May require evening or weekend work depending on production schedule.
  • Studio and on-location work (including occasional travel to shoot locations).
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift equipment up to 25 kg.
