Position: Pedestrian Snow Removal Labourer
Location of job: High River
Job summary: The Pedestrian Snow Removal Labourer is responsible for the routine general upkeep, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clear snow from sidewalks, walkways, stairs, and building entrances
- Apply salt, sand, or de-icing agents to prevent slips and falls
- Operate snow removal equipment such as shovels, snow blowers, and sweepers
- Ensure cleared areas meet safety and accessibility standards
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly during snow events
- Perform pre- and post-storm inspections of assigned routes
- Report hazards, icy conditions, or damage to supervisors
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE
- Work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient route coverage
Qualifications:
- Some professional landscape and snow removal experience is required
- Required to hold a valid drivers license and be willing to provide a clean drivers abstract
- Must live in the area or willing to relocate and have a reliable means of transportation
