Job Placement/ Career Coach located in Edmonton

Are you ready to bring high energy and enthusiasm to a role that bridges the gap between job seekers and employers? This dynamic position demands a go-getter with a passion for connecting people and building relationships! You’ll take the lead in recruiting employers and direct placing clients into the construction industry. You’ll be hands-on, following up with job placement candidates, conducting on-site monitoring, and ensuring successful outcomes. Mediation, engagement, and relationship-building will be at the heart of your work, as you navigate employment standards, contracts, and training plans. Plus, your knowledge of the local labour market will make you an invaluable resource to all you serve. Ready to make an impact? This is your chance!

Qualifications for this Position:

· Related post-secondary education and experience working in a client-based industry

· experience within the construction industry (Sales, Marketing, Placement)

· Experience with various types of recruitment strategies

· Strong understanding of the career planning process

· Computer competencies

· Communication & Problem-Solving skills, exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, networking abilities

· Must have vehicle

Responsibilities:

· Promote clients to employers in the construction industry

· Recruitment employers through direct cold calls

· Employment coaching

· Referral services to other agencies needed resources

· Follow up of job placement candidates through on-site monitors and to report 90 Day Outcome

· Mediate any concerns around employment standards, contract, and training plan outcomes

· Engagement and relationship building between clients and employers

· Knowledge of the local labour market

· Assist clients with implementing effective employment search strategies including: writing resumes, developing career portfolios, interview skills, job search strategies, etc.

· Monthly reporting as required

· Attend meetings and act as company representative where required

· File maintenance, contact notes and updating service plans
