Job requirements:
Language: Basic English
Education: High school or college courses in small engine equipment repair or related courses
Experience: 2 years of related experience (an apprenticeship program in small engines or equipment repair may be considered in lieu of experience).
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods
Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Reliability, Team player
Work setting/area of work: Golf course
Work site environment: Outdoors
Duties:
· Reel sharpening and tuning of mowing heads
· Checking height on mowing units
· General daily maintenance of equipment, such as greasing, checking filters, and fluid levels
· Minor repair/parts replacement when needed
· Maintenance of all small equipment, from trimmers, push mowers, sod cutters, turbine blowers, greens rollers, and golf carts
· Occasionally assist with cultural practices such as topdressing, aeration, or soil remediation (including seeding)
