Job requirements:
- Language: Basic English
- Education: High school or college courses in small engine equipment repair or related courses
- Experience: 2 years of related experience (an apprenticeship program in small engines or equipment repair may be considered in lieu of experience).
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Reliability, Team player
- Work setting/area of work: Golf course
- Work site environment: Outdoors
Duties:
- Reel sharpening and tuning of mowing heads
- Checking height on mowing units
- General daily maintenance of equipment such as greasing, checking filters and fluid levels
- Minor repair/parts replacement when needed
- Maintenance of all small equipment from trimmers, push mowers, sod cutters, turbine blowers, greens rollers, and golf carts
- Occasionally assist with cultural practices such as topdressing, aeration, or soil remediation (including seeding)
