Work Location Information: Driving to various locations in the Province of Alberta. Interprovincial travel may be required.

Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Accident or incident reports, Trip reports,

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Refrigerated, Tractor-trailer
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Air Brakes Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A). A driving test must be passed before hiring. The company will provide training on GPS and e-Logs
Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service
Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Duties:
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Perform brake adjustments
- Professionalism in customer service
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- May be required to load and unload goods using Pallet Jack.
Location: Based in Edmonton. Required to drive to clients’ various locations in the Province of Alberta. Some interprovincial travel may be required.
Salary: $61,800 to $75,000 per year, to be negotiated based on experience. Pay per stop, mileage, dunnage. Salary increases as per company policy.
Hours: 40 to 70 hours per week
