Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a passion for delivering exceptional automotive service. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems while ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality workmanship.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations.
- Diagnose vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and recommendations clearly to clients.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various vehicle makes and models.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Experience working in a dealership environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects as required during repairs (heavy lifting).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs.
- Familiarity with automotive schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
