Job Location: Based in Airdrie, AB, with travel to various locations in Calgary and the Camrose-Drumheller area.
Mileage, travel expenses, and living allowance paid by the employer as per company policy.

Wage: $31.00 to $35.00/hour (based on skills and experience/salary increases as per company’s policy)

  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads up to 50 lbs
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Dusty, Noisy, Traffic, Job entails working close to moving equipment and public traffic.

Duties

  • Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade,
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement,
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete,
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification,
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools,
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces,
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures,
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials,
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms,
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials,
  • Level earth to fine-grade specifications,
  • Monitor safety conditions.
