Job Locations: Based in Red Deer. The position requires travel to various locations in Alberta. The employer provides transportation.
Wage: $32/hour (salary increases as per Company policy)

Job requirements:

Language: Basic English
Education: Not required
Experience: 3 years of related experience
Work Setting: Commercial, Roads and bridges, Sidewalks and curbs
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Dusty
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads (up to 23kg/50lbs), Bending, crouching, kneeling, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods
Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Reliability, Team player
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Duties:

Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade,
Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement,
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete,
Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification,
Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools,
Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces,
Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures,
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
