Area of Specialization: Landscape construction
Construction specialization: Fieldstone paths, Interlocking brick, Ornamental ponds, fountains and waterfalls, Retaining walls, Rock gardens,
Irrigation and drainage, Paving stone patios and walkways, Pergolas and other woodwork features; Wood, steel, and chain-link fences
Duties:
- Plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures
- Estimate costs
- Write specifications
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
- Plant and move trees
- Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens
- Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions
- Operate skid steers
- Understand and follow the Landform Safety Program
- Be equipped and able to work in all weather conditions
Job Location: Various locations in the Calgary, AB area. Travel expenses paid by employer.
Wage: $24.00 – $27.00/hour (based on skills and experience, Salary increase as per company policy)
Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal Employment, Full time, 40 to 72 hours per week (hours are weather-dependent), Overtime, Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend
