Position: Cement Finisher
Job Location: Based in Wetaskiwin, AB, but required to work in various locations (Millet, Leduc, Camrose, Edmonton, Maskwacis, Ponoka, Stettler, and Calmar). The employer arranges travel to sites outside of the city
Wage: $31.00-$32.00 per hour
Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal, Full-time, 30-60 Hours / Week (weather dependent), Overtime, Morning, Weekend

Duties

Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete level top surface concrete, impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in fresh pour concrete
Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces of concrete, waterproof, damp proof and, restore concrete surfaces
Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures

Experience: 3 years of relevant experience

Industry experience: Construction (power cutting tools, poured concrete)

Area of Specialization: Sidewalks and curbs, Driveways, Garage Floors, Patios, Retaining walls, Wheelchair ramps, Exposed aggregate and earthwork
