    • Travel to various locations in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas
    • Truck provided
    • Local routes (guaranteed home every day)
    • Training provided in Edmonton

    • Travel and living-out expenses covered, per company policy
  • Salary: $32.00 to $35/hour (Based on experience; Salary increases as per company policy)

Employment terms and conditions:

  • Permanent, Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Shifts starting between 4 – 6 a.m. (start and end times may vary)
  • 8 or 10-hour shifts
  • Weekend, Overtime and Statutory Holiday work may be required

Requirements:

  • Languages: English
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Some commercial driving experience (approximately 6 months)

Credentials:

  • Class 1 driver’s license
  • Clean commercial driver’s abstract
  • Must be able and willing to pass a company driving test

Duties:

  • Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships
  • Manually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 – 1000 cases/shift)
  • Operating straight trucks and tractor trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routes
  • Maneuvering and backing up heavy trucks or trailers at various delivery sites, including in narrow streets, back alleys, etc.
  • Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reporting
  • Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices
  • Following health and safety and safe work procedures
