Reporting to the Director, Certification, the successful candidate will have a passion for offering exceptional customer service combined with tele-marketing expertise.
Role Overview
ECO Canada is seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to support acquisition efforts for the Environmental Professional (EP) designation program. The primary responsibility of this role is to engage with potential leads via phone calls, promote the benefits of the EP designation, and encourage new applications. The ideal candidate will possess telemarketing experience and the ability to strategically identify and generate new leads, while also working with provided lead lists from ECO Canada.
Major Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to potential leads to promote and discuss the EP designation program on a daily basis
- Follow up with existing leads, answering questions and guiding them through the application process
- Proactively generate new leads through research, networking, and outreach strategies
- Track and document all interactions and progress in the lead management system
- Collaborate with the ECO Canada team to align outreach efforts with the organization’s acquisition goals
- Report regularly on progress, challenges, and successes
- Meet or exceed weekly/monthly targets for lead outreach and new applications
The incumbent should have demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Strong interpersonal skills and desire to connect with people working in all areas of the environmental sector
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Strong telephone and email communications skills
- Desire to work in a results-focused environment
- Motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn and a willingness to adapt to a variety of situations
- Able to measure success metrics and identify trends
Qualifications and Education
- At least 3 years of proven experience in telemarketing, inside sales, or a similar role involving high-volume outreach
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to persuade and build rapport quickly
- Experience in business development or strategy is a valuable asset
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized in a remote work environment
- MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, Teams, Sharepoint and Outlook are considered assets
- Fluency in French is considered an asset
- Experience in using CRM systems or lead management tools
- Knowledge or interest in the environmental sector is an advantage but not require
This role is a full-time contract position until March 31, 2025.
ECO Canada offers the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days per week at the Calgary office and the option to work remotely for the remaining 2 days).
