  • Experience: 3 years of related experience
  • Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Dusty
  • Industry experience: Road construction
  • Area of work experience: Paving
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Overtime required, Handling heavy loads
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
  • Personal suitability: Team player, Dependability, Reliability, Accurate, Organized, Judgement
  • Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)
  • Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel regularly


  • Manage the work crew, operators, and equipment, in a profitable and safe manner to meet the commitments of contracts/agreements
  • Provide overall on-site leadership on the construction project site
  • Train or arrange for training
  • Supervise workers (Heavy equipment operators, raker men, other paving crew workers)
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
  • Recommend personnel actions
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Co-ordinate activities
  • May perform duties of workers supervised
