BURNCO is currently hiring a Batch Plant Operator for our operation in Calgary, Alberta.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Day to day interaction of other plant employees, report absences and other personnel issues to Area Manager.
  • Complete required paperwork and reports as needed (example: daily driver/truck report, daily hour report, enter/receive raw materials into Oracle, Kronos time approval back up).
  • Ensure strict compliance with health and safety, environmental, employment, management, and other company policies.
  • Verify each load for yardage, mix, added products and all other quality information.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Receive and inspect raw materials.
  • Keep required records and logs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and oversee the cleaning of the concrete plant.
  • Monitor inventories in the plant (cement, fly ash, admixtures and aggregates).
  • Adjusts batching weights and quantities as necessary to maintain specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What We Need from You:

  • Class 1 or 3 CDL (with air brake endorsement).
  • Safe Driver Record.
  • Concrete Mixer Truck driving experience an asset.
  • An understanding of concrete products an asset.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must have good mathematical skills
  • Experience in the operation of a batch plant preferred
  • Intermediate computer experience
  • Ability to successfully pass our pre-employment testing.
