Purpose and Scope of this position: To assist in the recruitment of clients and employers to ensure successful job placement leading to employment opportunities. To provide support as outlined in the contract deliverables.


Qualifications for Position:

Form of post-secondary education and experience working in a client-based industry
Experience with various types of recruitment strategies
Strong understanding of the career planning process
Computer competencies
Communication & Problem Solving skills, exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, networking abilities
Interviewing and assessment training
Access to a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities:

Recruitment of client and employers
Complete client intake
Client Service Needs Determination and/or Employability assessment
Development of a Service Plan and/or Training Plan
Employment coaching
Referral services to other agencies needed resources
Follow up of job placement candidates through on-site monitors
Mediate any concerns around employment standards, contract, and training plan outcomes
Engagement and relationship building between clients and employers
Knowledge of the local labour market
Assist clients with implementing effective employment search strategies including: writing resumes, developing career portfolios, interview skills, job search strategies, etc.
Work co-operatively with businesses and other organizations involved in providing career planning resources
Monthly reporting as required
Attend meetings and act as company representative where required
File maintenance, contact notes and updating service plans
Market program and promote to potential clients and employers
